- Apollo Youth Centre
The Apollo Youth Centre in Halesworth is open for two evenings each week and attracts 70 young people aged between 7 and 18 years old. The centre provides informal education through various activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, sport and informal discussion groups. The centre, which is run by volunteers, is a safe place for the young people of Halesworth where they can be themselves, discuss their worries and concerns, obtain information and learn to communicate with other young people and adults. - Halesworth Dementia Carers Fund
The Halesworth Dementia Carers Fund (HDCF) has a simple but vital mission: to support local people caring for loved ones living with dementia. Caring for someone with dementia is a full-time commitment that can be isolating, exhausting, and emotionally challenging. HDCF provides a lifeline through a range of daily groups and activities that offer both stimulation for those with dementia and a chance for carers to connect, relax, and recharge. - Hemsby Lifeboat and Inshore Rescue Service
Hemsby Lifeboat and Hemsby Inshore Rescue Service is an independent voluntary lifeboat service, saving lives at sea and on the Broads. Operating two lifeboats from Hemsby Lifeboat Station on the Norfolk coast, the service is separate from the RNLI and relies solely on public donations to fund their work. The volunteers are on call all day and every day to help people in distress.
